Over the last three years, we have all seen and heard of the dangers of having an unsecured border. Millions of people are illegally flooding into our country, not only from counties south of our border, but from countries, such as China, Russia, Iran, Iraq, and Lebanon. The dangers of a possible terrorist attack on the American people is ever increasing. We have seen thousands of American citizens die from fentanyl that is pouring in across our southern border. We are also experiencing an all-time high in the human trafficking of women and children in the sex trade, a crime on humanity itself. Wyoming is not immune from the effects of this influx of illegal immigrants. The problems that are occurring in other cities as a result of current border policies must be anticipated and dealt with here if we do not want them to become long term and unsolvable. The borders to the north and south of the United States need to be secured and the pathway to legal immigration streamlined.

As a person that is unapologetically pro-life, I believe that life begins at conception and that all life has value, from conception to natural death. Abortion is not healthcare. Healthcare is always intended to preserve life and improve the quality of that life, whereas abortion always ends in the taking of a life. Many women, after undergoing an abortion suffer from lifelong guilt and depression. I have been asked many times about what should be done in the case of unplanned pregnancies, or pregnancies in low income families? I would like to expand the support of our area pregnancies crisis centers. These organizations work with women and couples, providing counseling and resource information during and after the pregnancies. I am also in favor of streamlining and improving the adoption process. I will support efforts to make adoption less costly and more readily accessible to couples that qualify.

We must deal with the problem of out of control rising property taxes. Research shows that in 2023 Laramie County banked more money than they took in, in property taxes. I believe that property tax should be based on the acquisition value of the property. At the present time homeowners find it difficult, if not impossible, to afford necessary maintenance, knowing that it would add to their ever-growing property tax bill. For this reason, many homes and neighborhoods are deteriorating. In addition, many seniors are finding it difficult on fixed incomes to pay their ever rising property taxes. I believe that seniors and Veterans should be exempt from property taxes.

Election integrity is essential for the citizens to truly feel they have a voice in the process. So many have stopped voting because they believe their votes no longer count. Lets prevent election fraud before it becomes an issue in our state! I would support the requirement of a term of residency before a citizen can vote in Wyoming. At the present time this does not exist and voters are allowed to use IDs from any state in order to vote in our state. I also support voters having access to a paper ballet if requested. As long as voting machines are connected to Wi-Fi and have a memory they should not be used. I would like to come together with the electorate to hear their concerns regarding election integrity and address these concerns.

As a strong supporter of the 2nd amendment of our United States Constitution as well as those laid out in the Wyoming Constitution, I am opposed to those who seek to limit our 2nd Amendment right. As anti-second Amendment activists work to remove, the rights of law-abiding citizens to bear arms, I am reminded about how strongly our founding fathers believed in the right of the people to defend themselves. They understood, that the ability of the people to protect and defend themselves was dependent upon this fundamental right to bear arms. Fearing out of control governments that overstep their authority, led a few of our founding fathers to say this on the subject: THOMAS JEFFERSON: “The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.” GEORGE WASHINGTON: “A free people ought not only be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government.” BENJAMIN FRANKLIN, said while speaking about the 2nd amendment, “They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” I will always defend our 2nd amendment rights.

WYOMING HOUSE DISTRICT 41

On March 11th the Wyoming Legislature officially adjourned, having completed the 2026 budget session. Despite the many accomplishments, few received widespread attention.

I am proud to have voted in favor of the budget bill, which effectively slows the growth of government while allocating necessary funds for Wyoming’s constitutional functions. The budget, in conjunction with several other bills, provides critical funding for fire mitigation and response programs and personnel, vital considerations given the current dry and windy weather conditions. Furthermore, the budget includes long overdue pay raises for state troopers, snow plow drivers, and public health nurses.

State spending has increased by nearly 60% since 2019, while household income in Laramie County has not kept pace. Therefore, I support efforts to rein in the budget. In my view, it is essential that state spending does not outpace the growth of individual paychecks.

I am also proud of the Legislature’s work on school finance. Under the newly enacted model teachers will receive pay increases, additional resources and career and technical education (CTE) will receive the financial emphasis it deservers.

We also passed legislation to protect children from being stalked and groomed by adults, effectively closing a loophole in our criminal code. Most notably, we safeguarded the rights of unborn babies in the womb with the passage of the Human Heartbeat Act.

We passed a bill aimed at protecting children from sexual exploitation, which was signed into law, as well as bills safeguarding homeschooling access to public school activities and sports.

However, there remains more work to be done. Wyoming is one of ten states lacking First Amendment protections for citizens targeted with law fare for exercising their right to free speech. Our judicial system also requires greater transparency, and unelected boards must be held accountable for their actions.

As we move forward, I remain committed to building on these efforts-promoting responsible spending and defending the rights and values that matter most to the people of Wyoming. It is both an honor and a privilege to serve the people of our district and the people of Wyoming, and I look forward to continuing this work on behalf of House District 41. Therefore, I am asking for your vote to continue to serve you for the next two years.

I am committed to helping the people of Wyoming keep more of their hard-earned money, choose the best education paths for their families, protect constitutional rights, and strengthen family values. Your support- through prayers, time, and finances-was instrumental in this victory.
Thank you, and
God bless Wyoming!
